Employment
A postdoctoral position is available in
a multidisciplinary laboratory studying the mechanisms of
intestinal tumorigenesis. Projects will focus on the
molecular genetic changes in precancerous colon lesions
(Cancer Research 64, 2004; 15, 2007), the role of bioactive
lipids in carcinogenesis (Cancer Research 65, 2005) and the
application of high throughput proteomics to the study of
cancer chemoprevention (Proteomics, in press). Experimental
approaches include the use of laser capture microscopy, gene
expression arrays, high throughput proteomics and the
development of tumor biomarkers. Candidates must have a
Ph.D., D.V.M., M.D. or equivalent degree, and a demonstrated
productivity as first author of publications in
peer-reviewed journals. Experience in molecular and cell
biology, and signaling pathways with a background in tumor
biology is desirable. Salary range is at the NIH scale plus
an excellent benefit package. The laboratory is located in
a modern facility within the Center for Molecular Medicine.
